Top Ten Tuesday: Backlist Books I Want To Read

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018.

I love this week’s topic, because it’s made me look through my TBR and find older books that I’ve been excited to read. Which there is a lot of. So easy to get caught up in the excitement of new releases and forget about the older books in our shelves. Here is my top 10 blacklist books I would love to get to in 2019.

1. Nevernight – Jay Kristoff

I’ve been dying to read this book! It just keeps being pushed back over other books but I will read it! The urge to pick it up has been strong these past few weeks.

2. The Bone Witch – Rin Chupeco

I wanted to read this book in October but so much was happening and I ran out of time. In the new year I plan to binge the series.

3. Renegades – Marissa Meyer

With the Sequel coming out, it’s re ignited my excitement or the first book. I love Marissa Meyer, I have no idea why I haven’t read this book yet.

4. An Ember in the Ashes – Sabaa Tahir

So much amazing praise for this book. I’ve owned it for so long, I’ve recently got audio books for the whole series so I will be getting to it this winter!

5. The Kiss Quotient – Helen Hoang

I know this one is pretty new but I want to read it so bad! Especially now that the movie rights have been bought. So many people love this book and I have really high hopes I will too.

6. The Bear and the Nightingale – Katherin Arden

I read Small spaces in October and now I want to read everything she’s written. I’ve had this one for awhile and it’s going to be the perfect winter read.

7. Red Rising – Pierce Brown

So much praise for this series, I’ve always been interested in this series and I will dive into it very soon.

8. History is all they left me- Adam Silvera

I’m hoping to get caught up with all of Silvera’s works. I’ve read more happy than not and I didn’t love it, but I adored his book with Becky Albertalli, so I want to continue with his solo books.

9. Daughter of the Pirate King – Tricia Levenseller

I havent heard to much abouot this one, I love all things pirates and I cant wait to pick this one up.

10. The Last Magician – Lisa Maxwell

My son actually really wants this one, and it sounds really interesting so I might give it a try too. Plus the sequel just came out.

Is there any books on this list that I should move up on  my TBR? Let me know in the comments, I love hearing your thoughts. Happy Reading!!

Top Ten Tuesday :// Favorite Book Blogs

ttt-big2Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. This week’s theme is:

August 14: Favorite Book Blogs/Bookish Websites

There are so many amazing and talented bloggers out there that it was difficult to narrow it down. If I didn’t mention your blog, you are still amazing I just couldn’t include everyone. I hope you find some new bloggers to follow as these girls are amazing people!

Lily – Lair Of Books

I have been following Lily since I first started blogging. I love her so much. I am so grateful the bookish community introduced me to her. Not only does she have a gorgous blog but she has an amazing intragram! Lily is such a sweet girl I’ll randomly think of blogging questions and when I’m brave enough to ask them she is very helpful and nice. I cannot say enough good things about this girl, go check out her pages !!

Melanie- Meltotheany

Melanie is such a sweetheart, I’ve only recently started to follow her but she is so kind and beautiful. She writes amazing  detailed reviews. Her content is amazing, not only dose she write reviews, but she does book tags, monthly wrap ups and haul, so much more. Our reading taste are also on point, so i trust her opinions and I am so glad to have found her blog as she is such a wonderful girl.

Jamie – Perpetualpageturner

Jamie’s blog has become more of a lifestyle and  books blog in the last year since having her daughter, which I am in love with. As I also have a baby girl I love to follow other mommy bloggers now, having a girl is so much different than having a boy, plus its been 11 years since he was a baby. Jamie has been blogging for years ! She is amazing and her daughter is adorable.  I think there’s honestly something for everyone on her blog.

I love her photo’s, there gorgeous!!  She uses a lot of vibrant colors and her whole feed is just beautiful.

This is another instagrammer who has amazing pictures, her use of props and lighting are beautiful. So envious of all the talented photographer out there ! Definitely check this girl out.

Emma is my favorite booktuber of all time. She is so genuine. I have found so many books based off her recommendations, especially mental health books. I trust and respect her opinions. Also she is super sweet and beautiful person !

If your looking for queer book recommendations, Cece’s channel is where you need to go. She reads a lot of diverse book’s, and there are so many I have never heard of until she talked about them. She is also a very loving person and so cute !

When I’m in the mood for a thriller and don’t know what to pick up, this is the channel i go to. I find so many new and intriguing books from her channel, and not just the popular hyped up ones which is refreshing. I love her tbr videos, there so unique, I have no idea where she gets her ideas there brilliant.

Heather makes such wonderful content, we have similar taste in books so I always find something to read from her channel. She makes haul videos, reviews, book tags and more. She is really down to earth and honest in her reviews.

Sasha is such an inspiration to me, she recently published her own novel this year, Zenith. No I have not read it yet but I really want to. She is one of the first booktubers I found years ago and I still watch every video she puts out. I love her energy and creativity she bring to every new video. I highly recommend her !

Who are some of your favorite bloggers/bookstagrammers? Also if you are a new blogger I would love to check out your blog 🙂

Happy reading!
