I received an ebook proof from Netgalley for an honest review.

This was a really unique book filled with a wide cast of poets, some I love and some were new to me. Anthologies are difficult to review, as each story is different.I reviewed the  short stories individually, obviously my three favorite were Nakita, Amanda and Cyrus. I will read anything by these three authors, and if i had to pick a favorite story it would be Amanda’s. It was beautiful, magical and about the ocean,so it holds a special place in my heart. It was fun to discover some new poets,I really liked Liam Ryans writing and will look for more of his work in the future.

The witch: supernaturally powerful, inscrutably independent, and now—indestructible. These moving, relatable poems encourage resilience and embolden women to take control of their own stories. Enemies try to judge, oppress, and marginalize her, but the witch doesn’t burn in this one.

Today is the release day (March 6 2018) and even though I just ordered my copy, I couldn’t wait to read it. So I bought the kindle version. I LOVED The Witch Doesn’t Burn In This One! I’m so excited to have finally read this book, it feels like I have been waiting forever to get a copy. Amanda is such a talented and inspiring writer. Princess will always have a special place in my heart but this collection is my new favorite.

This poetry collection includes topics on feminism, rape culture, body shaming, eating disorders, abuse and many more. This collection of poems are powerful and empowering.

Reviewing poetry is difficult because there not written like a novel, but I found that the overall flow of the poems went really well together. This collection isn’t as personal as Princess, it focuses more on women as a whole group. Amanda has definitely grown as a writer. I love her writing and I will continue to support her in the future.

I am always blown away by her poems. Words  cannot express how much I loved this book. I HIGHLY recommend this book!!!

This poetry collection is divided into 6 sections, 5 of the 6 sections are poetry and the last is a group of stories. My favorite section was Monsters and Magic, I also really enjoyed some of the stories. My favorite story was Dreams of Dragons. Cheyenne’s writing style is beautiful and magical it leaves you with in a state of awe. This collection is meant to remind you of your childhood, poems full of fantasy imagery including dragons and elves, moons and oceans. Cheyenne is very talented poet, this is actually the second poetry collection of her’s I’ve read (Maroon Daydreams also really liked it.) I love this collection,it felt like reading a fairy tale.

I think that everyone will be able to find something in this collection that they will love. I highly recommend picking up this book. One of my favorite poetry collections of this year!
