Down the TBR Hole was originally created by Lost in a Story! The point of it is to Narrow down your Goodreads TBR shelf.
How it works:
➽ Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
➽ Order on ascending date added.
➽ Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
➽ Read the synopses of the books
➽ Decide: keep it or should it go?
The Six Books:
A Darker Shade of Magic – V E Schwab
Another V.E. Schwab book, I’m really torn when it comes to this author. Her books always sound really interesting and have cool concepts. But something about the writing doesn’t connect with me. Keep ✔️
The Winners Kiss- Marie Rutoski
A reading goal for 2019 is to try and finish series that I’ve started. This one is high on my list. I want to re read the first two books, but I’m definitely going to read it! Keep ✔️
The Becoming of Noah Shaw- Michelle Hodkin
I was very interested in this book when it was first announced but after seeing a lot of negative reviews I don’t think I will be reading the spin off series. Delete ✖️
Furthermore- Tahareh Mafi
I love Tahareh’s writing and I do want to get to this book sometime in the new year. Keep ✔️
A World Without Princes- Soman Chainan
Ive been really bad at keeping up with middle grade series I loved the first book. I own the rest of the series so I think I will keep this one for now. Keep✔️
The Wishing Spell- Chris Colfer
Again another middle grade series, everyone seems to love these books. I’m going to keep it for when the mood strikes. Keep ✔️
I want to check out The Wishing Spell.

I’m actually currently reading this book, and it’s so much fun.

That’s awesome! I recently just looked up the word “wish” Typically titles with WISH in the title are great. When the word “LIE or LIAR” are in a title I give those extra attention as well. I find that some words in titles are pretty indicative of a good book.

Great post! I have a hard time connecting with Schwab’s writing too. I have the Winner’s Curse on my TBR.
