Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018.
I love this week’s topic, because it’s made me look through my TBR and find older books that I’ve been excited to read. Which there is a lot of. So easy to get caught up in the excitement of new releases and forget about the older books in our shelves. Here is my top 10 blacklist books I would love to get to in 2019.
1. Nevernight – Jay Kristoff
I’ve been dying to read this book! It just keeps being pushed back over other books but I will read it! The urge to pick it up has been strong these past few weeks.
2. The Bone Witch – Rin Chupeco
I wanted to read this book in October but so much was happening and I ran out of time. In the new year I plan to binge the series.
3. Renegades – Marissa Meyer
With the Sequel coming out, it’s re ignited my excitement or the first book. I love Marissa Meyer, I have no idea why I haven’t read this book yet.
4. An Ember in the Ashes – Sabaa Tahir
So much amazing praise for this book. I’ve owned it for so long, I’ve recently got audio books for the whole series so I will be getting to it this winter!
5. The Kiss Quotient – Helen Hoang
I know this one is pretty new but I want to read it so bad! Especially now that the movie rights have been bought. So many people love this book and I have really high hopes I will too.
6. The Bear and the Nightingale – Katherin Arden
I read Small spaces in October and now I want to read everything she’s written. I’ve had this one for awhile and it’s going to be the perfect winter read.
7. Red Rising – Pierce Brown
So much praise for this series, I’ve always been interested in this series and I will dive into it very soon.
8. History is all they left me- Adam Silvera
I’m hoping to get caught up with all of Silvera’s works. I’ve read more happy than not and I didn’t love it, but I adored his book with Becky Albertalli, so I want to continue with his solo books.
9. Daughter of the Pirate King – Tricia Levenseller
I havent heard to much abouot this one, I love all things pirates and I cant wait to pick this one up.
10. The Last Magician – Lisa Maxwell
My son actually really wants this one, and it sounds really interesting so I might give it a try too. Plus the sequel just came out.
Is there any books on this list that I should move up on my TBR? Let me know in the comments, I love hearing your thoughts. Happy Reading!!
