She is officially out of me as long as she was in me! Miss Emmy is 9 months old today.
I wish we knew her height and weight but she didn’t go to her 8 month baby check up, our doctor is pregnant and was admitted to the hospital with no one to cover her. So Emmy won’t have an appointment until October. She has three bottom teeth coming in.Poor girl, they all came in within five days of each other.
She is wearing size 3 diapers, clothing size 12-18 months. It’s starting to get cool in the mornings and at night so I got out some of her fall pjs. I can’t wait to dress her in her fall clothes. Some of the jackets we’ve had for months. So many picture ideas for the fall and Halloween. It’s going to be a great last month off.
Emmy said her first word this month! She said ma-ma. Oh my god it was so cute. We were playing in bed and she reached up , touch my cheek and said ma-ma 💖 She is starting to wave hi and bye. Not all the time but every now and then gives a little wave when we say hi/byebye. She’s also start to make “B” sounds.
Another milestone she accomplished this month is standing. She holds onto anything she can use to pull herself up with. Her sitting back down is s little rough but she’s getting there. She wants to stand all the time now. She stood up for a few seconds on her own! Also she has this little walker and took a few steps.
She is just so much fun. She will do things to try and get a reaction and if we laugh she will be all smiles. Noah went back to school this month and I think she misses him. When he comes home she speed crawls over to him lifting her arms to be picked up, it’s so cute. She is so interactive and even though she doesn’t have the words to explain things her brain is taking everything in.
We have started to sleep train her, which breaks my heart to hear her crying. She needs to be able to nap in a crib for daycare and it’s safer for her at nights to be in the crib. She just gets so upset, her face turns bright red and she gets really hot. We tried in July to get her in the crib but a few days into she got a fever and we didn’t stick with it. This time it has to be done so she’s not so overwhelmed with all the changes coming in November.
I’m having a lot of anxiety about leaving her at daycare. I work 13 hour over nights, so in the day she will be at daycare and night home with her dad. I’ve been her primary caregiver since she was born and when she’s upset she only wants me. Plus the sleeping thing, pumping isn’t going so good I’m only getting 3-4oz a day which clearly isn’t enough. I don’t want to supplement with formula but we might have to for a week or two. You just hear horror stories about daycares mistreating the children and makes me scared for her.
That’s all for this month. See you in October for her 10 month update!
